Amber Oudh
Amber Oudh combines warm amber accords with the dark, resinous depth of oudh. The fragrance is rich and enveloping without becoming heavy, blending balsamic sweetness with dry, woody undertones. A composed, lingering scent that settles a space rather than dominating it.
Character: Warm · Resinous · Deep · Grounded
Krishna Sticks — Premium Agarbatti (11” / 28 cm).
20 sticks per packet. Weight: 80g
A long-format premium agarbatti series. The Krishna Sticks range draws on familiar Indian and Indo-Arabian fragrance profiles, composed in a clean, balanced style suitable for daily use.
Sandalwood & Musk Incense
Royal Sandal layers creamy sandalwood with the clean, dry tone of cedarwood and the soft depth of musk. Together, these create a rounded, elegant fragrance that feels polished yet relaxed.
It’s a scent that fills the room gently, leaving a sense of calm composure — sandalwood at its most graceful.
Details:
• Type: Hand-rolled incense
• Fragrance: Sandalwood, cedarwood, and musk
• Character: Warm · Woody · Refined
Creamy sandalwood notes supported by the collection’s characteristic warmth. The resin and almond base enhances the wood’s natural sweetness without becoming heavy.
Nag Champa — Five Interpretations
Nag Champa is perhaps the most recognisable Indian incense style in the world — a distinctive blend of champa flower, sandalwood, and resin with a soft, powdery character that has made it a fixture in everything from ashrams to Western living rooms. If you'd like to know more about its origins and history, we've written about it at some length in our journal.
What is less well known is how much the style can vary between makers. This selection brings together five interpretations — three traditional agarbatti, one dhoop, and one cone — chosen after careful comparison for the different perspectives they offer on the same essential idea.
We think these five are among the finest examples of the style we have found. We hope you enjoy exploring them.
Included in this set:
· True Vrindavan – Nag Champa
A classic, full Nag Champa profile — softly powdery, slightly floral, with a rounded, balanced character.
· BG Pooja – Nag Champa
Built on a similar profile, but drier and more sandalwood-led, with a firmer, more grounded feel.
· Baykeri’s – Prashanti
A different take on the style, where Baykeri’s distinctive house character comes more to the fore.
· Gulabsingh Johrimal – Cones
A more immediate, concentrated expression of the Champa style.
· Malaan Gaudhoop – Swarna Champa Dhoop
A brighter, more expressive take on Champa, with lively floral notes set against an earthy, resinous base.
*The set includes a total of no less than 50g of incense, comprising sticks, cones, and dhoop.
Rose at its most opulent
Rose Oudh arrives with presence. The cold scent on the stick is already heady and affirmative — a full, Arabian-register rose, unmistakably Damask, with a dark oily undertow that tells you exactly where this is going.
On the burn it opens up beautifully. The rose stays at the centre but doesn't dominate unchecked — it's balanced by woods and musks that pull it earthward, keeping the sweetness from becoming cloying. The overall effect is warm, a little sultry, genuinely complex.
If you have any interest in the richer bakhoor-influenced tradition of Indian incense, Rose Oudh is an excellent place to start with Misbah. Reviewed by Incense in the Wind.

How our incense is chosen
Most of our incense is made in the traditional masala style: a paste of sandalwood, natural gums, and powdered aromatic herbs, rolled by hand onto a slender bamboo stick.
We avoid harsh oils and low-quality dipped incense. Instead, our range centres on traditional Indian fragrances, from gentle florals to compositions with deeper notes of amber and oudh — all, in our view, worth burning.
Alongside our own selections (Supreme Kannauj, True Vrindavan), we work with long-established makers we trust. Our complete range is available on the Incense Brands page.
